Analiza metodelor de imprastiere a solitonilor in fibra optica

Rezumat: Ecuatia neliniara Schroedinger (ENS) este o ecuatie diferentiala cu derivate partiale care, cu exceptia unor cazuri foarte particulare, nu are solutii analitice. Rezolvarea numerica este impusa de necesitatea analizei asupra proceselor neliniare manifestate in fibra pe durata transportului semnalului. Solutia numerica a ENS rezulta din aplicarea fie de metode cu diferente finite fie de metode pseudospectrale. Materialul prezinta metoda Fourier in trepte (SSF) aplicata propagarii solitonului prin mediu dispersiv, si trece in revista metode cu diferente finite si metoda imprastierii.

Abstract: Nonlinear Schroedinger (NLS) equation is a partial differential equation which does not carry analytic solutions, unless particular cases are considered. As nonlinear processes within the fiber optics are occuring while the signal travels along the fiber, numeric approaches are requested to find the NLS solutions. NLS numerical algorithms make use of either time domain transforms or frequency domain transforms. The present paper describes nonlinear dispersive media split-step Fourier (SSF) method, and introduces finite-difference and scattering schemes.
